Color impressions: Japanese Garden at Roger Williams Park

Today’s watercolor class met at the Japanese Garden at Roger Williams Park in Cranston, RI.  We focused on color impressions: capturing the color without concern for the drawing. Then we went in with pencil (and/or pen) to find some texture and a bit of definition.

The painting above was done on loose leaf watercolor paper.
