Taken flight

Mona Lisa at the Louvre Emily, Elizabeth and I went to the Louvre Sunday afternoon. I used the Mona Lisa as an excuse to photograph a guy with remarkable dreadlocks and a bright yellow backpack. With Veronese’s Wedding Feast at Cana behind me.  I am not sure what the red boxes on either side of her are but they make this painting more interesting. escape of the nike of samothrace We found that the Nike of Samothrace had flown the coop. She’s had the wings all along and must have finally figured out how to overcome her lamentable navigational disability.
